In 2013 service began seasonal service on the heritage trolley line operating along part of the former British Columbia Electric interurban that once had an extensive network of lines serving Vancouver and neighboring communities. The Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society is operating restored BC Electric interurban cars powered by towed generators, as installation of trolley wire would have interfered with double-stacked rail container service along the line.
