Kansas City — Extension Moves Despite Funding Miss

The kshb.com site reports that the southern extension of the Kansas City streetcar will remain on its time line despite the failure of the project's application for current year FTA awards. The project is seeking $151 million in funding to match a siimlar local amount. The project team says there is plenty of planning and engineering work that can continue as it also seeks funding from next year's federal round.
