Fort Lauderdale — End of the Line for Streetcar

Revised bids for the Wave modern streetcar line at Ft. Lauderdale were too high and that effectively dooms the project at the city along the Atlantic Ocean coastline. But WLRN public radio reports that a workshop about streetcar raised legal questions that the city commission will need to address. The Wave was to use Siemens S70 streetcars, the same as used in Atlanta and Salt Lake City and ordered by Santa Ana, CA.
