The Sun Metro Director, Jay Banaziak told city leaders on October 29 that the El Paso streetcars are expected to begin operating on November 9, 2018 at 5 p.m. reported KFOX 14 television. The new 4.8-mile route will use streetcars from El Paso's original line, which last saw service in 1974. The cars havebeen totally rebuilt and modernized for their new life.
