Anaheim — Streetcar Study Delayed until 2015

The Orange Country Register reported that the environmental review for the proposed streetcar line will not be released until sometime in 2015 instead of late 2014. The study was expected in December 2014 but the Public Works Department has been asked by the City Council to evaluate some additional options for the 3.2-mile route to be known as Anaheim Rapid Connection.

Property owners whose land would be crossed by the streetcar line requested evaluation of alternate routings, and the City Council agreed.

Early in 2015 the city plans to publicize a schedule for constructing the line, which they hope will be in operation in 2018.
