Memphis — Budget Problems Lead to Service Cut

Because of budget problems, the vintage trolley service operated on three lines at Memphis will be reduced, WMC television reports, despite setting a record for ridership in the last fiscal year.

The cuts include eliminating service on the Madison line on Sundays. The Main Street line will also see cuts, but will continue to operate seven days a week. The Riverfront line schedule will remain unchanged.

Special service may still be operated for major events.
